About the Role – Tyre Technician

We are seeking an experienced Tyre Technician to join our Artarmon store. In this role, you will identify and rectify faults found in customer tyres such as wear and punctures through fitting, rotating, balancing and general tyre repairs.

You will be working in a well-equipped and organised workshop, closely alongside your service advisor, head motor mechanic, motor mechanics and wheel aligners to deliver an industry leading level of customer service.

Your main day-to-day tasks would include

-Repairing and maintaining customer vehicles
-Carrying out tyre repairs, tyre fitting, wheel balancing and other wheel/suspension related services
-Identifying faults in vehicle stability and tyre wear
-Fitting, rotating and servicing tyres
-Providing advice and reporting potentially dangerous risks found on customer vehicles
-Safely operating hoists
-Conducting road tests as required

About you

-Preferably 2 or more years experience tyre fitting
-Excellent communication skills
-Able to work in a team environment, also unsupervised
-Have an understanding of targets and KPI’s
-Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills
-MUST be physically fit and able to carry out day-to-day tasks
-Knowledge of WHS
-Must be experienced in the automotive tyre industry
-Availability to work every Saturday (8am to Midday)
-Must have full working rights in Australia
